Carmita F. McCall is FORREAL. Known as the “quiet comedienne” in school, she has been lighting up stages and radio waves since 1985. What’s her deal? Carmita believes that the only way we can accomplish our goals is if we stop playing charades and get down to the issues and catalysts that really matter. As she spoke, sang, or taught, her voice was often overdubbed by the shouts of the audience yelling “Be Real!”
As a Program Auditor (effectiveness and financial) for companies participating in Federal and State Low-Income Families Initiatives, Carmita has first-hand knowledge of how good-hearted ideas can go terribly wrong without leadership passion, employee instruction, and honest evaluation of programs and services. Her honesty and willingness to work for results is evident in her company trainings as well as in her awareness presentations on serious matters such as STDs/AIDS, culture and character education in youth, as well as performances that stir the soul. Over the years, Carmita has found that interactive, enjoyable people are very good at relaying important information. Although she chooses laughter and music, she does not skip over social issues that reach close to home, such as suicide prevention, drugs and alcohol and more.
AND NOW, in addition to maintaining her roles as President and CEO of Brightside International Inc. (video production, media ads and graphic design) and Simply Successful Inc. (seminars, trainings, and consulting) Carmita is also an accomplished Author, Speaker and International recording artist. Although her personal jazzy style captivates audiences, she infuses hiphop and pop styles for youth presentations. She has been a local TV/Radio Personality and Live Event Host for many years.
Carmita's life of inspiration has been an invaluable contribution to literary magazines and FORREAL (formerly known as Carmita McCall Consulting) has provided invaluable consulting services for several non-profit organizations. Carmita McCall is an advocate for social change and a regular keynote speaker and board member for various professional organizations, public and private schools, and churches.
A native of Miami, Florida, Carmita left for college in 1995 and since graduating has traveled the globe spreading messages of hope and peace through several means of audio-visual communication. With mission services and music tours combined with her commitment to the local community, this humanitarian’s future goals include nothing less than more…much more.
